WINONA, Minn. — It’s Monday morning, and time to take one final look back at the highlights of the week that was — by the numbers.

Led by Theil and Ledermann, the Cardinals finished 21st as a team.

1 x 2: Cody Balogh (Batavia, Ill.) converted the Saint Mary’s men’s soccer team’s first penalty kick of the season to account for the Cardinals’ goal in their 2-1 MIAC loss to St. Olaf last Saturday. The goal was the first of the season for Balogh.

3: The Cardinal women’s soccer team’s three goals in its 3-2 win over St. Olaf last Saturday were the most in an MIAC game since Saint Mary’s netted three in a 3-1 win over St. Catherine on Oct. 15, 2011.

6-1: With this 3-1 victory over Augsburg last Wednesday, the Saint Mary’s volleyball team improved to 6-1 in conference play and remained in second play in the MIAC standings, one game behind league-leading Gustavus (7-0). The Cardinals and Gusties square off in the final regular-season match of the season on Oct. 31 in St. Peter, Minn.

8: Eight of the Cardinal women’s soccer team’s last 10 wins—including all five victories this season—have come on their home turf.

11: Macki Fadness (Eau Claire, Wis.) delivered a team-high 11 kills in the Saint Mary’s volleyball team’s 3-1 win over Augsburg last Wednesday. Fadness has now recorded 10 or more kills in 18 of the team’s 24 matches.

19: Morgan Thomas (Palos Park, Ill). Recorded a season-high 19 digs in the Cardinal volleyball team’s 3-1 win over Augsburg last Wednesday. Thomas’ 19 digs were a season high and one shy of her career-best 20-dig outing against UW-La Crosse on Sept. 10, 2014.
