WINONA, Minn. — It’s time to take one final look back at the highlights of the week that was — by the numbers.

1: Goalkeeper Nate Levy (Byron, Minn.) recorded his first shutout of the season, making one saves in the Cardinal men’s soccer team’s 1-0 win over Bethany Lutheran last Wednesday.

1: James Larson (Polson, Mont.) scored the Cardinal men’s soccer team’s lone goal in their 2-1 loss to Hamline last Saturday—it was his first of the season, and first since netting his first collegiate goal on Oct. 16, 2013 against St. Olaf.

2 x 3: With their 2-1 win over Hamline last Friday, the Cardinal women’s soccer team has now scored two goals in three of their four wins—the lone exception a 4-0 victory over UW-Superior on Sept. 5.

2: Chris Trussel (Wenatchee, Wash.) scored for the second straight game in netting the only goal in the Cardinal men’s soccer team’s 1-0 nonconference victory over Bethany Lutheran last Wednesday.

2: Maddy Wallraff (Oswego, Ill.) and Bridgett Leverich (Blaine, Minn.) scored back-to-back goals in the game’s final 10 minutes in lifting the Cardinal women’s soccer team to a 2-1 win over Hamline last Friday. It was Wallraff’s second goal of the season, while Leverich’s was the second of her collegiate career.

2: The Cardinal volleyball team played back-to-back matches against nationally ranked teams during the second day of the Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament last Saturday. Saint Mary’s dropped 3-0 decisions to No. 11 Carthage to the nation’s top-ranked team—Washington (Mo.) University.

7: With their 2-1 victory over Hamline last Friday, seven of the Cardinal women’s soccer team’s last nine wins have come on their home turf.

10: The Saint Mary’s men’s and women’s golf teams both placed 10th at the MIAC Championships, which ended last Monday. The Cardinal men—behind Blake Westerberg’s three straight seven-over-par 79s—posted a 995 54-hole total, while the Saint Mary’s women—led by Kaitlin Kling’s (LeRoy, Minn.) 88-85-88—261—carded a 1090 three-day total.

22: Jenna Sullivan equaled her season high with 22 digs in the Cardinal volleyball team’s 3-2 win over St. Olaf last Wednesday. The 22 digs were one shy of Sullivan’s career-high 23-dig showing against the University of Chicago on Oct. 10, 2014.

33: Alex Peterson (Harmony, Minn.) and Macki Fadness (Eau Claire, Wis.) shared the team lead with 33 kills each during the Cardinal volleyball team’s four matches at last weekend’s Tiffany Robinson Memorial Tournament.
